Guarantee and safety
What is covered and for how long, plus the handful of safety points worth knowing before a blade turns.
Three years of legal cover
Our sales run under Spanish law, and it gives new goods three years of protection against faults that were already there when the tool reached you. Two years is the floor across the EU; where your own country is more generous on a point, you keep that instead.
For the first two years the law assumes the fault was built in, and the burden of showing otherwise sits with us. In year three that assumption lapses, so tell us clearly when the tool began to misbehave and what it was doing at the time.
What counts as a fault
- A battery that no longer takes a charge, or a charger that no longer delivers one
- A motor that stops, stalls under normal load, or never reaches its speed
- A trimmer head that will not hold its angle, or a telescopic shaft that slips under use
- A saw that will not tension its chain, or an oiler that never oils
- A pressure washer that draws no water with a clean filter and a full bucket
- A sprayer that will not atomise with the correct nozzle fitted and clean paint
- A safety cut-out that trips for no reason, or fails to trip when it should
The remedy is repair or replacement. Where neither is possible, or it would take too long, you may ask for a price reduction or a full refund.
What is not covered
- Damage from dropping a tool, running it over, or leaving it out in the rain
- Parts that wear with use: blades, saw chains, nozzles, filters and brushes
- A chain or blade blunted by cutting into soil, stone or wire
- Paint left to dry in a sprayer because it was not rinsed after use
- Work done on the tool by someone else, or parts changed for non-original ones
- Scuffs and scratches that do not stop the tool working, unless you flag them in the first 48 hours
How to claim
Send support@mavrora.com the order number and a plain description of the behaviour – plus a photo, or a few seconds of video where the fault shows. You will normally hear back the same working day, and any collection we ask for is booked and paid by us.
Safety, briefly
Saws and blades
Two hands where the tool allows it, gloves and eye protection always, and nobody standing inside the arc of the cut. Keep the chain tensioned as the manual describes; a loose chain is the usual cause of a thrown chain. Never cut above shoulder height with the chainsaw, and take the battery out before you touch the bar, the chain or a trimmer blade.
The trimmer
Fit the guard before the blade. Match the blade to the job – the saw disc is for woody growth, not for grass along a gravel path, where it will throw stones. Keep bystanders and pets fifteen metres away.
Pressure washing
A jet at close range strips paint, mortar and skin. Start wide and far back, and never point it at a person, an animal, an electrical fitting or an open window.
Spraying paint
Outdoors or in a well-ventilated space, with a mask rated for the product you are spraying, and away from any flame. Unplug the sprayer before you open it to clean.
Shearing
Blades get hot; let them cool and oil them as the manual says. Work on a restrained animal on a non-slip surface, and stop if the blade catches.
Each tool arrives with the manufacturer’s manual. Where this page and that manual differ, follow the manual and tell us, so we can correct this page.
